The roaring '20's.
"A little party never killed nobody"
A good friend of mine got married in August and she had a 1920's theme wedding.
First of all it was an incredibly fun idea and everyone got into the spirit.
The bride was absolutely beautiful and it was a wonderful time.
Of course me being me, I was very excited to put together a makeup look from the 1920's.
I did a bit of research on what the mainstream looks were back then.
Dark, rounded "sad eyes" that went well up through the crease of the eye.
Heart shaped lips; only filling in the center with color.
Softly sculpted cheeks and strong brows
So I put together a little kit seen above.
My flapper dress was from Amazon and was pretty reasonably priced.
You can find it if you click here
My sister did my hair and she did a fabulous job!
Headpiece also from Amazon here
And what's a flapper without pearls?
These plastic one were around $4 on Amazon here
The makeup was a lot of fun to do, a lot of black eyeshadow.
My sister and I even won the costume contest :)
My video cut out before I got to mention these guys.
City Color's HD Powder is the most amazing setting powder I've ever used!
And Urban Decay's setting spray really works.
I'm not a believer in setting sprays, they never seem to work.
But I got a sample of this one and decided to try it.
My makeup lasted ALL day & night!
Through dancing and the outdoors it didn't move.
Here's what it looked like at the end of the night:
Almost exactly the same as when it was first applied.
I've used this spray since at a picnic on a 95 degree, humid day and my makeup still stayed perfect!

Our wonderful friends had a beautiful day and gave us
all a wedding to remember for years to come :)
Congrats Michele and Nick!
Thanks for reading :)
