Laura Mercier Flawless Contouring Palette Review + Swatches

Hello Guys!

How are you all today? I hope you are fabulous!

So recently in the makeup world, cream contour palettes have been a massive hit with heaps of different brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills and NYX releasing them. Lots of beauty bloggers are also using different coloured concealers such as the LA Girl Pro Concealers to contour and highlight. So when I heard about the Laura Mercier Flawless Contour Palette- a brand I absolutely love and adore, I was super excited about trying it!

So if you want to find out more about this palette and see swatches, just keep reading!

The Flawless Contour Palette contains 5 Cream Colours with a mixture of matte and shimmer shades. The three contour shades- Contour #1, Contour Medium #2, Contour Deep #3 are all matte cream colours. The shades are all very neutral to cool shades that are perfect to create that natural looking shadow under the cheek bones and around the face.

The three contour shades are soo creamy and pigmented. They need no time in 'warming up' as the product picks up straight away. I have heard with the Anastasia Contour Kit that the colours are a bit dry and take a long time to be picked it- which is the complete opposite with the Laura Mericier palette as the colours pick up easily and blend into the skin either with a sponge or buffing brush flawlessly!

For me I have used the shade Contour #1 to sculpt my cheeks bones and around my forehead. I then go in with a mixture of Contour Medium #2 and Contour Deep #3 to further give dimension to my face, I would place a tiny bit at the very backs of my cheeks bones to add some more depth and along my temples.

The two highlight shades Highlight #1 and Highlight #2 are both shimmery Creme Colours.

Highlight #1 is a very yellow golden highlight. I have very fair skin so at first I thought it would be too gold for my skin, however once blended into the skin it gave a beautiful, healthy glow.

Highlight #2 is a beautiful bronze/copper shimmery shade that would look stunning on a deeper skin tone. This colour would personally not suit me as a highlighter as its too dark but I actually placed this slightly above my contour and buffed it in and it worked like a beautiful shimmery bronzer and gave this beautiful sun kissed glow to my skin!

This photo shows just how creamy and pigmented they are with just one swipe. In the bottom photo I have slightly blended them out which shows how smooth and buttery they are to blend out! (They can be blended out a lot more)

Overall, I think this is a fantastic palette! When I first saw it the colours look very dark and I didn't think it would suit fair skin like myself, however it definitely proved me wrong! I think the colours are very versatile and the palette would work great for fair to dark skin tones! The colours are creamy, pigmented, smooth and blend able and definitely worth the price.

In this photo I'm wearing Contour #1 as my Contour under my cheekbones and forehead, a mixture of Contour Medium #2 and Contour Deep #3 at the back of my cheekbones and forehead, Highlight #1 on my cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and under my brows.
